The Buzz on Brayton

“I need to get a little bit better about making my own luck” (Justin Brayton to Racer X – 2007)

“Making his own luckl” has been the focal point of Justin Brayton’s stellar rise through the Supercross Lites racing field. Brayton’s early Arenacross career saw him steadily rise through the ranks to settle in the top ten standings, while consistently returning to the podium in the course of each successive season. Having caught the attention of Motoworld’s Supercross Team, Brayton made the move to Supercross Lites in 2005 only to suffer a devastating leg break that kept him off the track most of the season. He made a strong comeback in 2006 finishing 12th in the AMA West Supercross Lites Series and making his move toward the top ten finishes that would characterize his 2007 Supercross Lites season. Having joined the MDK Lites KTM Team, Brayton’s ability to “make his own luck” has seriously improved. Brayton is enthusiastic about working with the factory Lites team. He reports that “We (the team and I) do a lot of testing, and that’s helped me out a lot, to know that I have the best bike set-up possible for me.” The best bike set-up possible for Brayton includes the KTM factory bike with the MDK performance that consistently provides strong, reliable horsepower and torque. When questioned about the 2008 season, Brayton admits that with the MDK Lites KTM Team “I’ve got all the tools to win races now. – everything’s falling into place.” “No doubt it’s definitely going to be the year”. Seeing him take the podium in his first 2008 Supercross Lites race and finish in the top ten of his second 2008 Supercross Lites race, we’d have to agree.
